Here is a list of all modules:

Initialization/finalizing, event loop	Functions, related to initialization
Rendering	You can render GUI and BG separately
Font loading and handling	Loading TTF-font from file and memory
Images manipulating functions	Loading from file/memory and finalization
Main loop	Required for Emscripten
File functions	Not really related to GUI, but useful in most programs
